Jan-Tobias is a visiting graduate student from the University of Bonn who is very interested in synthetic biology and biotechnology. His current research is focused on the development of new methods for the acquisition of rare earth elements using engineered microorganisms. Outside the lab, he plays tennis and loves to run along the Charles River.
